Production Roofers at Weaver are responsible for delivering on our mission of Care that Shows, combining attentive client awareness with safe, high-quality, efficiency that delivers excellent end results. Our teams work outdoors, on elevated surfaces, within rapidly progressing low-slop projects, detailed standing seam jobs, and in complex residential settings. 

 Responsibilities Include:

• Work under the direction of the Roofing Foreman on the crew to which you are assigned
• Unload materials and tools from company and vendor trucks and place them wherever directed
• Tear off old roof material
• Prepare and clean roof surfaces for application of new roofing material
• Join with the team to solve problems and install materials according to training you have received
• Uphold jobsite safety, quality and cleanliness standards
• Work safely and do what is necessary to keep others working safely throughout the company
• Drive safely and do what is necessary to keep others driving safely throughout the company

Schedule: 

• 10-11 hour shifts
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

The Commercial Construction Estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates on assigned commercial construction projects, primarily special projects and facility maintenance, as required/requested by clients’ documents and Sales Lead.

Responsibilities Include:  

• Efficiently prepare accurate estimates and proposals for commercial construction projects.
• Prepare cost analysis by reviewing material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items.
• Create proposals and work scope for commercial special projects and facility maintenance.
• Review and interpret construction documents, including plans, drawings and contracts.
• Receive and analyze bids from subcontractors.
• Execute quantity take-offs from construction documents.
• Develop approximations when predetermined standard(s) are not available.
• Understand building codes, municipality regulations, and permitting and incorporate them into the estimation process.
• Research and document current pricing for identified materials.
• Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, township requirements, etc.
• Lead job handoff meetings with the production team.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Customer serviced focused, with the ability to maintain a high level of communication, flexibility to meet needs, and capable of diffusing emotional interactions.

• Excellent verbal communication skills with a high comfort of speaking to a range of people in both large and small groups. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Project, and estimating software, preferably Sage 300.
• Ability to read blueprints and apply this information in estimating and project management
• Extensive experience in construction environment, with knowledge of building codes, ANSI/ADA, and general OSHA compliance regulations.

Education and/or Professional Experience:

• 1-2 years of post-secondary education in construction management or a related field, or the equivalent in commercial estimating preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in a construction related field preferred.

Physical Demands:

In this role, the employee will frequently sit or stand, use a computer with a mouse and keyboard, view and focus on screens and blueprints, occasionally traverse uneven surfaces, climb stairs, stoop, reach, and carry or lift up to 50lbs.

Work Environment:

This position will primarily work in a climate-controlled office, with occasional visits to indoor and outdoor active construction sites in all types of weather.
