Weaver Companies remains built on the same five principles that were established upon our founding in 1973. Promises Kept, Enduring Craftmanship, Delivering Value, Servant Leadership and Honoring People. Every past, present, and future project is rooted in these principles and the success of those projects revolves around our philosophy of “People First, Buildings Second”.

Come join our Commercial Construction Team as a Special Projects Project Manager! Your primary responsibility will to project manage assigned special projects that we consider “small projects”. Secondary responsibilities will include sales and estimating of the same types of projects with future potential to narrow your focus in the direction of project management or sales/estimating. Wallflowers need not apply!

 About You:
  • You take pride in your work and run each project as if you owned the company
  • You are a construction Foreman or Superintendent ready for the next step in your career
  • You take pride in being able to communicate with just about anyone effectively… customers, subcontractors and co-workers
Special Projects Project Manager Expectations:
  • Trust is the name of the game. You’ll have to proactively communicate proposals, costs, change orders, contract requirements, schedules and issues with customers to gain and maintain relationships.

  • Communication is key. You will be the first contact for the owner of the job, subcontractors and other team members on the job as construction progresses.
  • You’ll have a mix of office, being outdoors, driving from site to site, communicating with customers and other team members. You will be required to climb ladders and conduct inspections at height.
  • Don’t expect to be doing the same thing every day! You’ll be on the go constantly and will perform a variety of tasks, from running jobs, creating schedules, coordinating subcontractors and other team members while occasionally selling and estimating projects.
  • Beating your budget is always the goal, but only if it benefits both the client and the company… we expect you to always right-budget and run your project in an ethical manner.
  • You’ll have to understand the customer’s needs and vision in order to create accurate recommendations, proposals and estimates and see the job through to the finish.
